Let’s face it, your face has been having all the fun. Scrubs, serums, moisturisers. And what’s one more overnight mask? You put your face first, neglect the rest of you. But not anymore, babe. It’s time to give a little love to your elbows. And legs. And heels, for frank’s sake.

AHAs are those friendly chemical acids that gently exfoliate your skin. They reduce acne, fade fine lines, and leave you soft to the touch. Give me one good reason why you wouldn’t use AHAs all over. Thought so.

Let’s bring it down a notch. But before you start using AHAs on your body, make sure you know the rules. Here’s the beginner’s guide to using my Smoothing AHA Body Lotion

Don’t: Apply AHAs during the day.

Yes, lactic and glycolic acids are gentle. But they can also make your skin more sensitive to the sun. Avoid using my Smoothing AHA Body Lotion during the day, and instead opt for my Perky Sculpting Body Hydrator, or my Glide ‘n’ Go: Body Oil Stick for when you’re on the run.

Do: Use it overnight.

My AHAs work the night shift to smooth your skin: zero effort required. Apply my AHA lotion all over, slip into your PJs, and dream of me. Sleep tight and wake up to your best skin yet.

Don’t: Skip the sunscreen.

Good job, you followed the instructions. But you still need to remember the SPF during the day to protect your skin from those nasty free radicals. AHAs tend to make your skin more sensitive to the sun, so don’t skip this step, babe.

Do: Focus on problem areas.

Wrinkles? Dry patches? Acne in places you didn’t know you could get acne? When applying my Smoothing AHA Body Lotion, pay special attention to the areas where you want to see results. Use me consistently, and it’ll pay off.

Don’t: Scrub and rub in the same night.

Okay, let me clarify. You can scrub and rub when using a moisturiser without AHAs (like Perky). But on the nights you use my AHA body lotion, you’ll want to skip the scrubbing. Why? Because this lotion doesn’t just moisturise your skin, it also exfoliates it thanks to its gentle acids. Your skin is happiest when it’s exfoliated, but not over-exfoliated.

Do: Rinse it off in the morning.

Remember how AHAs can make your skin extra sensitive to the sun? After waking up and admiring your super-smooth skin, remember to jump in the shower before beginning your day.

Don’t: Forget to be a babe.

Check. That was easy. Ready for your aha moment?
