You already know the f word: frank, babe. It’s time to embrace the C word: cellulite. Say it loud, say it proud. It’s not a dirty word, so it shouldn’t be hidden behind euphemisms or baggy pants.

Cellulite is normal. It’s part of being a babe. Embrace it, jiggle it, wiggle it, tone it, own it. Do what you want with your cellulite. Butt first, let’s get to know more about it.

What actually *is* cellulite?

Cellulite is the lumps and dimples that appear on your booty (and beyond).

How does cellulite happen?

It’s down to the way fat gets distributed under your skin. Let’s get scientific for a hot sec. Under your skin, you have bands that hold your skin and muscle together. They’re called fibrous bands. Fancy. Cellulite happens when fatty tissue moves between these bands and pulls them down, causing dimpling to happen on your skin. And abracadabra, you’ve got cellulite.

Why do babes get cellulite?

This isn’t a Bachelor finale, babe. So there’s no clear answer or reason. But there are a few factors that come into play, like sex, genetics, and lifestyle. For example, women store fat differently in their bodies to men, which is why women are more likely to have cellulite.

Who can get cellulite?

Literally anyone. 80-90% of women have cellulite. It arrives after puberty for most babes, and you can have it even if you go to the gym 5 times a week, #letsbefrank.

Where can I get cellulite?

Your booty. Your belly. Your arms. Your legs. Wherever you’ve got skin, cellulite can happen.

What to do if you want a little less cellulite?

More cellulite or less cellulite, it’s your body to feel good in, babe. And while there’s no way to get rid of cellulite, there are things you can do to reduce the appearance of it.

Minimise the appearance of cellulite through massage.

I’m talking lymphatic drainage massage. It’s a type of massage done by experts across the land. On babes like Elle Macpherson and Cindy Crawford. Lymphatic drainage increases circulation, plus it removes toxins and helps with bloating. When it’s done with a firming body moisturiser like Perky, it also leaves you soft, perky, and pantless.

Minimise the appearance of cellulite through exfoliation and moisturising.

The benefits of scrubbing and rubbing includes smoother skin texture and tone, which can help make your cellulite less obvious. My body scrubs are made with natural oils to soften, hydrate and plump skin, leaving you more dewy and less dimply.

Minimise the appearance of cellulite with natural ingredients:

Caffeine: Caffeine can have a tightening and firming effect on your skin, which minimises the appearance of cellulite.

Acai: Not just for smoothies, this ingredient is full of antioxidants and vitamins A, B, C & E to help repair damaged cells and revive your skin.

Shea Butter: A super body hydrator, shea butter helps soften skin and smooth over cellulite.

Grapeseed & Jojoba Oils: This hydrating duo leaves skin feeling supple and glowing, with fewer obvious lumps, bumps, and marks.

Longan Seed Extract: Improves skin elasticity and helps sculpt your skin.

Where to find these ingredients? In my Butt First, Coffee Kit. This caffeinated duo includes Perky, my skin tightening lotion and Booty Drops, my firming body oil. It’s a double shot of coffee for your body, creating a firming body moisturiser like no other.

And remember: you’re a babe with and without cellulite. Pop it, drop it, tone it, own it. Do what you want with your cellulite/skin/booty. Butt first, feel good in it.
