You started your own business. Why protein?
I was a big user of protein and couldn’t find one that ticked all the boxes! I created Proper Protein to be the myth buster of protein and all its false rumours.
Tell me a bit about your protein compared to anyone else’s.
We are all about lifestyle. Protein is a necessity in your diet.

I think the days of girls and guys having different routines is over. We know now the importance of lifting weights and its not just to build muscle. I also think the couple that works out together stays together – and boys be warned if your girlfriend is stronger than you technically she is your boyfriend!

Best protein smoothie recipe?
Got to be green, right?
- 1 Cup Spinach
- 2 Kale Leaves
- 200 ml Unsweetened Almond Milk
- 1 scoop Vanilla Protein Powder
- 1 tsp Chia Seeds
- ½ cup ice
- ½ Avocado
- 1 tsp Organic Rice Malt Syrup
Best protein pancake recipe?
- 2 Scoop Protein Powder
- 2 Eggs
- 1/2 Cup Gluten Free Flour
- 1/2 Tsp Baking Powder
- 2 Tsp Apple Sauce
- 1/2 Cup Almond Milk
- 1/4 Cup Coconut Oil
- 2 Tbsp Chia Seeds
- 1 Cup Blueberries
- 3/4 Cup Yoghurt (Greek or Coyo)
- Crack the eggs into the food processor and mix until light and fluffy.
- Add all other ingredients except for the chia seeds, yoghurt and berries.
- Fold the chia seeds into the mixture with a spatular.
- Heat a non stick pan on a medium heat and add coconut oil.
- Pour desired mixture into the pan and cook for approximately 2 minutes each side or until golden brown.
- Make a stack and garnish!!!

I forgot to pack my legionaries cap, but there was sunscreen involved. Though I’m naturally olive skinned I still always slip slop slap, no one wants to see wrinkly old man tattoos!
Do you moisturise your skin, and especially your tattoos?
Without fail every night.
Did the body balm help with healing from any sun damage?
Your balm is like a filter on instagram. It always adds value.
