‘Avocados are a fruit’. How many times have you heard that statement and gone, are they?
More than you can count on one hand, I’m sure.
Lucky for you I don’t have hands, just answers.
They’re a good fat. A monosaturated fat to be precise. Packed with nutrients and antioxidants, they don’t just taste delicious but do wonders for your skin.
That sounds familiar. #letsbefrank
While you can’t eat me, you can eat avocados.
I have three suggestions, #justthekindofguyiam.
On your toast.
The simple, humble option – just like me.
You’ll need: 1 fresh avocado, sprinkled with sea salt, pepper and sesame seeds.
For those who walk on the wild side, add chili flakes and lemon juice for an extra kick.
Sometimes it’s the simplest of things that are the most effective. (#thefrankeffect)
In your salad.
For my more adventurous babes.
Toss together fresh rocket, cherry tomatoes, roast beetroot and slice your avocado on top.
A pinch of salt and pepper, a generous squeeze of lemon juice, some roast pine nuts for some crunch or some goat’s cheese.
You’ll be full, satisfied and ready for an afternoon of antics.
With your corn chips.
For a lil somethin’ somethin’.
Thanks to you babes, I’m famous for coffee. Avocado is famous for guacamole.
Mash the flesh of three ripe avocados, a diced tomato, a finely chopped red onion, a handful of coriander and the juice of a large lime. Season with salt and pepper, serve with tortilla corn chips.
Something for each and every one of my babes.
But lastly, did you know avocado is also good on your skin? Then again, so am I – I’ll leave it at that.
xx frank.
