LET’S FAQ

Everything you want to know before we get dirty.

Why do I need this?

plus

It’s easy to forget about protecting your (hot) body from the sun, especially on days you aren’t spending at the beach. UVA rays cause skin ageing and can penetrate even glass and clouds, and UVB rays cause redness and sunburn. No matter the weather or the season, your skin is exposed to these rays, which is why you need sunscreen for your body every day. My SPF50+ Hydrating Body Lotion has broad spectrum protection against both UVA and UVB rays, and will also keep your skin quenched. I’m your daily defence and a damn sexy SPF.

Is it “reef-safe”?

plus

You might have seen the term “reef-safe” floating around sunscreen products, but this isn’t actually a regulated claim. The reef-friendly concept is related to a Hawaiian Act that states oxybenzone and octinoxate are harmful to the reef and prohibits these ingredients. The good news is that I do not contain these ingredients.

Is it water resistant?

plus

Yes, I am 80 minutes water resistant. Remember to reapply often after towelling, sweating heavily, or swimming.

Is it safe for use during pregnancy?

plus

The short answer is, yes. Did you know your skin is more sensitive to the sun during pregnancy?  So there’s never been a better time to protect your skin. If you’re unsure, always consult your healthcare professional.

Is this safe to use on my kids?

plus

The Cancer Council recommends minimising the use of sunscreen on babies less than 6 months of age. For babies older than six months, sunscreen should be used as the last line of defence after avoiding direct sunlight, putting on covering clothing, a hat and shade. If you’re unsure, always consult your healthcare professional.
