One of the best parts about my job is meeting babes who are doing good things, for others. Chloe Norgaard and her pal, Cole Miller are doing just that, for the sake of the bees. Meet: Wildflower Boom. Recently I got them to plant some blooms at my pop-up cafe in Brooklyn, Sweatshop. We had a coffee or two and decided to stay best babes, forever and ever.
What are you studying?
A mix of Psych and Philosophy w/ a certificate in Art Therapy.
What’s the first thing you think of when you wake up?
Then, what’s the first thing you do?
Water them, take care of them, plant new ones. Make a juice & check emails.
Coffee or tea? What’s your order?
Iced decaf mocha.
Roses or daisies? Better yet, what’s your ultimate flower?
Ooh I love Jasmine & Wisteria.
Would you ever give a guy a bunch?
What colour is your hair right now? #letsbefrank, I prefer when it’s that baby pink you rock sometimes.
Currently, it’s blue. Who knows what it will be tomorrow.
What’s with the hair changes? What’s the inspo?
Inspo is so many different things… I guess it’s kinda more like a mood ring. Tip: Remember you gotta think in terms of the colour wheel when switching.
You work as a creative, model and also wildlife enthusiast. Tell me and my babes, how did it all start?
Modelling started in Tokyo, 6 or so years ago. Lived there for 3 months where I became addicted to travel, and modelling is pretty great for that. I’ve always been a creative. Ever since I was little my mom would do arts & crafts w/ my brother and I. Nature is just an extension of my soul. Deep love.
What does an average day look like?
Playing house 🙂 I was traveling for like 5 years and this winter finally got my own place so I’m having so much fun decorating but also building and so forth. I probably go to Home Depot at least once a week.
You’re currently working on Wildflower Boom, an initiative to save the bees. Where did this idea come from?
Because I love flowers and our earth. Because we are royally fu*king it up. Because I love colours, the smells.. it’s an environmental art project I guess. <3
Because they pollinate a big portion of the food we eat. We need them & they need us.
How can we help?
Plant flowers that the pollinators like (butterflies, too). Turning off lights when not in use. Buying local products. Recycling (although I’ve heard some fishy stuff about cities not doing it properly), composting.. the list is long.
You love flowers and all things natural, like my coffee based skincare range. What’s your skincare routine like?
Scrub, serum, cream & sometimes a mask when I sleep.
What’s been your favourite product of mine and why?
Oohh love the body scrubs and the face scrub.
Lastly, who should I get down and dirty with next?
Ellie Stuart Hunter
