In case you missed it, I dropped a new scrub: my Charcoal Body Scrub & Mask. Except, it’s not only a scrub. It’s also an acne-fighting body mask. That’s right, I can multitask.

Let’s take a closer look at the MVP of this product and what it does for your skin. Hint: it’s in the name.

WHAT IS CHARCOAL?

Let’s get serious for a sec. Charcoal occurs when a carbon source like wood or coconut shells gets burnt. The result is ultra-fine charcoal with millions of tiny pores that bind to and help remove chemicals and dirt. See, coconuts aren’t just for sticking tiny umbrellas (and rum) into.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF CHARCOAL FOR YOUR SKIN?

Charcoal clears the dirt from your life. Or if we’re getting specific, it clears the impurities from your pores which helps reduce breakouts. It’s helpless against clingy exes. #letsbefrank

WHAT ARE THESE SO-CALLED “IMPURITIES”?

Impurities include sweat, excess oil, dead skin, and bacteria. These impurities hang out in your pores, rent-free. They build up and up and up until they clog your pores entirely. That’s when breakouts happen.

Because babes get this buildup on their bodies too, breakouts can happen anywhere from your forehead and chin, to your chest, back, and booty.

Charcoal works by binding to these impurities and drawing them out of your pores. Got a zit on your back? Use my body scrub for back acne. And because charcoal is the main ingredient in my new scrub & mask, it’s literally the best body scrub for acne, bacne, and buttne. If I say so myself.

WHO SHOULD USE MY BODY ACNE SCRUB?

As charcoal can remove excess oil, babes with oily skin are a perfect match for trying a charcoal-based skincare product.

Don’t worry about stripping your skin either, babe. My Charcoal Body Scrub & Mask also has gentle grapeseed & milk thistle oil to restore the balance and keep you soft & moisturised.

HOW TO USE MY BODY SCRUB FOR ACNE?

Step 1. Get naked, get wet.
Step 2. Scrub yourself from top to toe in long, flowing strokes.
Step 3. For areas that have scars and cellulite, work in circular motions for several minutes. Step 4. Leave to dry for 5 minutes to let my Charcoal do its thing.
Step 5. Rinse and chill.
