Detoxing should be gentle and sustainable, no crash diets here, babe.

If you want to have your cake and eat it, too, here are a few things you can add to your diet to help clarify your skin.

1. Charcoal. 

The ultimate detoxifier. It traps toxins in its millions of tiny pores and kindly ushers them out of your body. Think of charcoal as the bouncer and the toxins as you at 3am after too many tequila shots. Mix one teaspoon of activated charcoal with water and drink when you feel like you’ve been naughty. Note: you should not consume this too regularly, you want to keep the good stuff in your body. You’ll also find charcoal in my Charcoal Face Cleanser – it sucks all the bad stuff off your face.

2. Lemon.

Half a lemon + hot water in the morning will give your digestive system a good kick up the butt. It boosts metabolism and promotes the bodies own detoxifying methods. It balances PH and reduces flare ups and inflammation – that’s the red stuff. Lemon is also rich in vitamin C so it helps your body purge excess water weight and reduces the levels of sodium and potassium in the cells.

3. Parsley.

This little green guy supports liver and kidney function which are vital to the bodies natural detoxification process. Put it in your salads, juices & smoothies for some extra detox power.
