I’m an all natural type of guy- both when it comes to selecting my ingredients, and my babes.
But I also like my babes to be the happiest, smiley version of themselves and sometimes this involves makeup.
For the month of April, any product bought at www.frankbody.com enters you in the draw to win me, in a gold version. I’ll be sending out 16 golden tickets, and one of you lucky babes will win my golden frank. Sound easy? It is. A lot easier than a gold smokey eye, I know that much.
However in the spirit of all things gold I chatted with a couple of leading make artists to get their tips and tricks.
Max May is known as the highlighter king, and for good reason my babes tell me. They line up to have him paint their faces, and I don’t blame them. “One of my favourite go-to products for highlighting the skin is Charlotte Tilbury’s Gold Bar. It’s such a vibrant intense gold that melts over the skin like it’s been kissed by the sun gods”.
Tahlia Jade likes to experiment with colours, but says gold is her go-to for a natural, fresh face. Her top three tips to making your eyes shine are:
Tip 1: Prep your eyelid and under brow area with a matte-finish concealer or powder before applying any eyeshadows.
Tip 2: Don’t apply shimmer/highlighter above the crease of the eyelid unless it’s right under the brow bone.
Tip 3: Blend baby, blend. Like you scrub in circular motions, move that brush around and blend the colours naturally around your eye.
Picking your shade of gold can be tricky, but Tahlia recommends basing it on your eye colour.
Blue eyes: Champagne or Pale Peach.
Green eyes: Light bronze or Caramel.
Hazel eyes: Chestnut or Golden brown.
Brown eyes: Neutral tones.
Turning things gold is fun, trust me, I’d know. Match your eyes to my golden tickets and we’ll be a match made in heaven.
xx frank
PS. Max May made one of my favourite babes Inka Williams look like a total babe in the cover image with no other than Josie Clough from It’s Now Cool behind the lens.
