When Charlie Brophy and I were invited into Lucas & Issa’s home in Melbourne, I thought they may need some convincing to get into the bath tub. Oh, how I was wrong. They love to get dirty just as much as I do. While we scrubbed, we spoke. Here’s what love and Australia’s vote on marriage equality means to them.
Hey babes, so tell me. How did you meet?
In the Dawn of this Dating Apocalypse: the first time we saw each other was through an app.
#letsbefrank, love starts digitally these days. That’s how I meet my babes, too. So who likes the bathroom more?
We spend most of our time in the bath. It’s hard to get us both out once are in there together.
Do you know each other’s coffee order?
Lucas will have a long black if he does not get his OJ fix. Issa loves a classic: double shot strong latte.
How are you feeling about the plebiscite?
It’s amazing that we live in such an advanced world yet we are so backwards when it comes to love. Why do others have to write our history? Why is there a chance of a ‘No’?
I get it babe. So tell me, what is love to you?
Love comes in many forms. It’s hard to define, or better yet, it should not have a definition, it should just be felt. You will know when you feel love.
In a few words, what would you like my babes to think about?
Love has no gender – compassion has no religion – character has no race.
Thanks babes.
I’m all about spreading the love and scrubbing with love. Here are a few couples I’ve met recently: Kristen & Mary, and Milo & Brooke.
