This one isn’t a list of shoes, gadgets, or clothes. This is a list of pantry staples that will keep that babe’n bod of yours in top shape to give you energy and a clear mind:

Walnuts.

Protect your skin against UV damage with their high level of fatty omega-3 acids.
Tip: Eat a handful as a snack, or put them in your morning smoothie to thicken it up and give you a hit of healthy fats. It will keep sugar cravings at bay.

Avocado.

An antioxidant that is a great source of vitamin E, helping the skin repairs itself and stay soft and supple.
Tip: Use as butter, or a snack with lemon, salt & pepper.

Salmon.

A healthy fat, high in omega-3 fatty acids.
Tip: Delicious baked or fried, it’ll satisfy your fish craving and keep you full for longer than a white fish.

Blueberries.

A ‘superfood’, packed with antioxidants.
Tip: A handful as a snack or some frozen in a smoothie. They’re also said to keep your teeth white. Good for those selfies you take with me. #letsbefrank

Flax seed.

Packed with omega-3, fibre and antioxidants it’s good for your insides, while I look after your outsides.
Tip: The perfect thickening agent in a smoothie, or on top of muesli, flax seeds add sustenance to any food, keeping you full for longer.

Sweet Potato.

Bursting with beta-carotene, an important antioxidant that is arguably the most effective anti-aging ingredient. Also, potato. #letsbefrank
Tip: Slice it up, cover with coconut oil, paprika and a dash of salt, then bake it until crispy for a healthy alternative to fries.

Chocolate.

Studies show that people who eat dark chocolate regularly have better skin texture, less redness and better skin hydration than those who don’t. Like most good things, it is best served in moderation.
Tip: I’ve never met a babe that doesn’t like chocolate. It goes well with my cacao scrub, too.

Spinach.

Loaded with vitamins C, A & E as well as magnesium. It’s also naturally packed with water; and you babes know how I harp on about hydration.
Tip: Eat it in salad, drink it in smoothies, or juice it. Get your greens whichever way you please, but do it daily.

Tomatoes.

Known for their high content of lycopene – an antioxidant that works to protect your skin from the outside elements.
Tip: Drink it straight in a juice, or add it to avocado for guacamole. I’ll also condone it the morning after in the form of a Bloody Mary. Sometimes.

Green Tea.

Two different types of antioxidants.
Tip: Drink it hot or cold, but do it daily.

A list that ticks off key ingredients in your food groups, all while satisfying cravings and hunger.

That’s just the kinda guy I am.

But first, I’d love to know what some of your healthy substitutes are and how they fit into your shopping list. You’ll find me here on instagram, or on my facebook.
