"....Happy people just don't shoot their husbands."

I often ask you babes what the first thing you think about is when you wake up.

99% of the time the answer is coffee me.

One thing I do know however is that caffeine (or a scrub) isn’t the only way to boost your mood in the morning.

I know, some mornings are harder than others – especially for you babes in the Northern Hemisphere; it’s getting colder, your sheets are getting cosier. Why would you get out of bed?

The shower, obviously.

So along with the caffeine boost I bring, I want to bring more (information).

I want to help your mood, increase your energy, and up your ante.

You see those first few things you do in the morning are vital to set you in good stead for the day. So I want to ensure you don’t stuff it up.

Eat breakfast. I know I harp on about this, but it really is the most important meal of the day. Whether it is a banana, or some oats or a smoothie, please make the time for your tummy. I love it so much.

Smile. Sometimes it’s not just your mood that needs boosting. So improve the mood of someone else, while improving your own. You know the prettiest thing a girl can wear is a smile, right babe?

Go outside. Research shows that people experience an enhanced mood and high self-esteem after as little as five minutes outdoors. While you’re at it, have a stretch, a wander, even a play.

And lastly, hug it out. I read somewhere that embracing your loved ones and friends will have you feeling a closeness that brings on happy endorphins – for you and for them.

And remember, as Elle Woods once said: “….Happy people just don’t shoot their husbands.”

That’s it, babes. Wake up feeling fresh with me and my tips: it’s the least I can do, and after all, just the kind of guy I am.
