You have a party tonight, how do you prep your skin?

If I know I have a party or event to go to, I like to prep my skin with a mask beforehand.  Am I allowed to say that I love using your Glow Mask, frank?  Or does that make me look like a fan girl?  I like that it only takes 5 mins, but gives me a startling brightness and G L O W!  Having pretty, glowing skin (especially in night light) makes you the talk of the party.  Trust me, you’ll have everyone coming up to you complimenting how beautiful your skin is.  (Which is my favorite compliment!) On top, I love using the Cellularose Brightening Serum from By Terry mixed with their CC Cream.  It’s a winning combination.

I know you love me, which product of mine do you use?

Well, I just told you that I love you, but I guess you need a little more attention from me today, frank. Luckily there is another product of yours that I really love. I’m so into tinted lip balms, and your Cherry Bomb is my everything.  It keeps my lips smooth and hydrated, but never leaves me without colour (which is a must for me).  I like to have my lips ready for kissing at all times, and this lip tint brings all the boys to the yard.  I keep it in my bag and will use it on my cheeks too if I need a little pick me up.  Multi-tasker, need I say more?

What’s the one thing you shouldn’t say at a Christmas party?

I would probably never say that I haven’t seen A Christmas Story or National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation.  Maybe the new generation is all about ELF, which I love too, but gotta stick to the childhood classics.  (If you haven’t seen, you better watch soon.  There are a lot of good jokes and material in those movies…..) One Halloween I dressed up as the Leg Lamp from A Christmas Story…you feel me?

What’s the one makeup trend you love for the festive season?

GLITTER!!!  I’m a glitter girl, always have, always will be.  However, never does it seem more appropriate than with the holiday season.  There are so many options out there now as far as colours go, so you can really have some fun with it. Pick your favourite feature and go for the glitter.  (But please only choose one to play up to keep the balance.) Eyelids, Lips, Cheekbones, or Eyebrows.  Pick your poison, and keep on shining.  Tis the season to sparkle!

You only have a few minutes left to get ready, what do you do with that mane?

More times than not, I’m pushing it with my hair.  Meaning I probably have been to the gym 2-3 times before I wash it. Depending on what day or how many times I’ve worked out since my last washing determines what happens with my hair. My tried and true is my two bobby pin trick. Don’t think, grab your hair, and throw it up (just like you do when you are at home cleaning the house or doing your makeup). Usually when you don’t care and you’re not trying, the cuter your hair looks.

Is there anything you eat or drink beforehand?

I’m a lil snacker so I always am grabbing a handful of banana chips and had a few sips of Kombucha.  (Does that make me sound like LA?)

You’re tired, how do you make yourself look alive?

I have blue eyes, so I feel like they can look quite tired or sensitive very easily.  I never leave home without some eyedrops, and usually pop them in my eyes before I arrive to the party and sometime in-between.  Do step away from the crowd for this trick.  I also think a little blush always livens your face up, so keep your Cherry Bomb in your bag for 911 emergencies!

You’re Uber is waiting, what’s the one thing you can’t leave without?

Never without my oversized faux fur, (we pretend like it’s cold here in LA) and of course, who could live without the KiraKira App for the parties?  Just when I thought sparkle was enough on it’s own, add the KiraKira on top and its pure heaven.  Other than that, I’m a pretty low maintenance packer when it comes to leaving the house!

Favourite party outfit this season?

As one of my favorite friends and mentors Rachel Zoe says, sequins and sparkle are always a good idea, no matter what time of day!  I have to agree, and think over the holidays some element of sparkle completes a look.  Whether that’s a shiny dress, shoe, or eyeshadow, make sure you’ve got something shiny going on!  I like too many looks to just choose one!  I’m all about a deep v and long sleeves, or a killer jumpsuit.  As long as there’s balance in a look, anything goes when you feel hot and confident.

Drink of choice?

This is going to make me sound very LA, but lately I’ve discovered Kombucha Beer.  Yes…..it’s Kombucha with a higher alcohol content.  Somehow in my head it makes me feel like I’m being a healthy drinker…..lol.  It’s great by itself or you can definitely spike it with a good tequila.  Otherwise, I like my drinks very neat.  Tequila, soda, on the rocks.

What gifts are you buying your babes?

Beauty is always an amazing gift, who doesn’t want to get fun products to try?  I like buying that or spa excursions so my babes can pamper themselves.  Or carwashes…..haha everyone needs them, but it’s kind of an annoying task unless someone is giving it to you!! (Not sure what gifts to buy your babe? Here are some ideas.)

Best hangover remedy for the next day?

How old do I sound if I have reached a point in my life where I know how to shut it down so I don’t have to deal with a hangover the next day…..!  I was thinking about it the other day actually: I am in a phase where my health (body, skin, mind) matter more than getting loose at a party and suffering the next day.  I hate losing days due to hangovers.  I’m not saying I don’t get them anymore, but on the occasion that I do, I always need a burger the next day and some sort of health concoction drink from my local health market that claims to cure a hangover…..and I force myself to the gym to sweat it out on a cardio machine followed by the sauna.

Babe, sounds like you need to read my hangover hacks, as voted by my frankfurts.

My personal favourite: “to tie a belt around your head to relieve the pressure”.

Another reason why I love all of you.

Happy holidays,

x frank.
